Pea Soup Recipe
Ingredients
- 8 oz Dried Marrowfat Peas
- 2-1/2 pt Water
- 1 tbl Oil
- 2 Celelry Sticks (Chopped)
- 1 Garlic Clove (Crushed)
- 1 Onion (Chopped)
- 1 Sachet Bouquet Garni
Method
- Soak the peas overnight.
- Heat the oil in a large saucepan and cook the chopped onions until brown.
- Add the chopped celery and crushed garlic cloves and cook for about 5 minutes.
- Now pour in the peas, water and bouquet garni. Simmmer for about 150 minutes.
- Remove the bouquet garni and remove pan from heat.
- Pour into a blender and blend until smooth.
- Heat again in the pan before serving to guests.
- Serve hot and garnish with chopped parsley.
