Orange Scones Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 lb Flour
- 4 oz Butter
- 2 oz Caster Sugar
- 1 1/2 cups Milk
- 4 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 Orange Rinds (Grated)
- Sugar Lumps
- Orange Juice
Method
- Rub the butter into sieved flour, salt and baking powder.
- Add the sugar and grated orange rinds.
- Mix all well with milk until a dough.
- Roll out until about 1/2 inch thick.
- Cut into rounds.
- Dip a sugar lump into the orange juice.
- Then press into the top of each scone.
- Bake for 10 minutes at 425°F.
