Ingredients

  • 8 oz Self Raising Flour
  • 3 oz Cheese (Grated)
  • 2 oz Margarine
  • 1 tbl Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Dry Mustard
  • 3 Bacon Rashers (Cooked / Chopped)
  • 1 Egg (Beaten)

Method

  1. Mix the dry ingredients together in margarine.
  2. Add the grated cheese and chopped bacon.
  3. Beat the milk and egg together then add to the mixture.
  4. Stir with a wooden spoon until a dough.
  5. On a floured board roll out the mixture until 1/2 inch thick.
  6. Cut into scone sized shapes.
  7. Place on a baking tray.
  8. Brush with egg yolk.
  9. Bake for 12 minutes and 400°F.
