Cheese And Bacon Scones Recipe
Ingredients
- 8 oz Self Raising Flour
- 3 oz Cheese (Grated)
- 2 oz Margarine
- 1 tbl Milk
- 1/2 tsp Dry Mustard
- 3 Bacon Rashers (Cooked / Chopped)
- 1 Egg (Beaten)
Method
- Mix the dry ingredients together in margarine.
- Add the grated cheese and chopped bacon.
- Beat the milk and egg together then add to the mixture.
- Stir with a wooden spoon until a dough.
- On a floured board roll out the mixture until 1/2 inch thick.
- Cut into scone sized shapes.
- Place on a baking tray.
- Brush with egg yolk.
- Bake for 12 minutes and 400°F.
