Buttermilk Scones Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 lb Soda Bread Flour
- 4 oz Sultanas
- 4 oz Caster Sugar
- 3 oz Margarine
- 1/2 pt Buttermilk
- Salt
Method
- Sift the flour and pinch of salt into a bowl.
- Rub in the margarine and add sugar.
- Stir in the buttermilk to make a soft but not too sticky dough.
- Knead lightly.
- Roll on a floured board until 1/2 inch thick.
- Cut into rounds and place on a baking tray.
- Bake for 10 minutes at 425°F.
