Apple and Cinnamon Scones Recipe
Ingredients
- 8 oz Flour
- 4 fl oz Milk
- 2 oz Butter
- 1 oz Caster Sugar
- 1 oz Demerera Sugar
- 1 tsp Cinnamon (Ground)
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 Cox's Apple (Cubed)
Method
- In a large bowl, sift together the salt, cinnamon and flour.
- Using your hands, mix in the butter until a breadcrumb consistency.
- Add the apple cubes, sugar and demerera sugar while stirring.
- Make a well in the middle and pour in the milk.
- Mix until a soft doughy consistency.
- Remove from the bowl and place on a floured board.
- Knead the dough until smooth and without lumps
- Roll into small circles about 1“ thick and cut edges off with a pastry cutter.
- Place in an oven preheated to 400 F and bake for about 10 minutes or until browned off.
