Bacon And Lentil Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb Streaky Bacon (Rindless / Sliced)
- 4 oz Lentils
- 1 pt Water
- 2 tsp Cornflour
- 3 Celery Sticks (Sliced)
- 2 Potatoes (Sliced)
- Carrots (Sliced)
- 1 Onion (Chopped)
- Seasoning
Method
- Put the vegetables into a saucepan along with 1 oz margarine.
- Add the bacon and cook for about 5 minutes.
- While stirring, add the lentils, seasoning and water.
- Cook for a few minutes over a steady heat.
- Place in a casserole dish and cover.
- Place in an oven preheated to 375° and cook for 1 hour.
- Blend the cornflour with 1 tbl of water and add to casserole, then return to the oven for a couple of minutes before serving.
