Chicken & Leek Pie Recipe
Mixture Ingredients
- 6 cups Chicken (Chopped)
- 2 cups Leeks (Chopped)
- 1 cup Shortcrust Pastry
- 1 cup Ham (Sliced)
- 1 cup Onions (Chopped)
- 3/4 cup Chicken Stock
- 1/4 cup Double Cream
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 1 pinch Nutmeg (Ground)
Method
- Prepare the pastry according to instructions on the box.
- In a deep dish, layer the chopped chicken, leeks, ham, onion and sprinkle with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
- Pour over the chicken stock and cover with pastry.
- Make a small hole in the middle of the pie and brush the top with milk.
- Place in an oven preheated to 350 F and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven, heat the cream and pour down the hole.
- Slice and serve.
