Lamb Steaks In Rich Red Wine Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
- 6 Lamb Steaks
- 1/4 pt Red Wine
- 1/4 pt Orange Juice
- 1/4 pt Lamb Stock
- 6 Pickling Onions
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- Spring Rosemary
Method
- Take a frying pan, add the lamb steaks and fry until brown.
- Lift out into a casserole dish along with the onions, rosemary and garlic.
- Now pour the red wine, orange juice and lamb stock into the pan.
- Bring to the boil and then add a pinch of sugar and seasoning.
- Pour over the lamb steaks.
- Cook in an oven preheated to 350° until steaks are tender.
- Just before you serve the meal, thicken the sauce with a little cornstarch.
- Sprinkle with a little chopped mint to taste.
