Ingredients

  • 6 Lamb Chops
  • 6 oz Mushrooms
  • 1 1/2 oz Butter
  • 2 tbl Red Currant Jelly
  • 1 1/2 tbl Lemon Juice
  • 2 tbl Flour
  • 1 tbl Worchester Sauce
  • 1/4 pt Meat Stock
  • Nutmeg

Method

  1. Fry the lamb chops in a frying pan with some butter until brown on both sides.
  2. Put the lamb chops into a casserole and place the mushrooms on top.
  3. Take a saucepan and combine the red currant jelly, Worchester sauce and lemon juice.
  4. Stir in a dash of mutmeg and seasoning.
  5. Melt the rest of the butter.
  6. Blend the butter, flour, stock and mixture from saucepan.
  7. Pout the sauce over the lamb chops.
  8. Cook in an oven preheated to 270° for about 1 1/2 hours.
