Onion Flan Recipe
Mixture Ingredients
- 9 oz Flour
- 2 oz Butter (Softened)
- 1 oz Yeast
- 1 tsp Salt
Topping Ingredients
- 3 lb Onions (peeled / Chopped)
- 6 oz Bacon (Chopped)
- 6 oz Sour Cream
- 1 oz Butter (Soft)
- 3 Eggs (Beaten)
Method
- In a small bowl, combine the yeast with 1 tsp of sugar and leave aside.
- Take a mixing bowl and combine the salt, flour and softened butter until a dough.
- Add the yeast mixture and knead until a doughy consistency.
- Gently fry the chopped onions and season with salt, pepper and caraway.
- Stir sour cream and eggs in with the onions.
- Put the dough into the bottom of a greased 9“ baking tin.
- Pour the onion mixture over the dough.
- Place in an oven preheated to 350 F and bake for about 60 minutes.
- Lift out of the oven and put on a wire rack to cool.
