Seafood Crumble Recipe
Ingredients
- 8 oz Cod (Cubed)
- 8 oz Smoked Haddock (Cubed)
- 4 oz Cheddar Cheese (Grated)
- 4 oz Cooked Prawns (Peeled)
- 3 oz Wholemeal Breadcrumbs
- 1/2 pt Milk
- 2 tbl Parsley (Chopped)
- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg (Ground)
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 1 Onion (Chopped)
- Black Pepper (Ground)
Method
- In a saucepan, poach the smoked haddock and cod along with the chopped onion and bay leaf in the milk for 3 minutes.
- Lift the fish and onion out of the saucepan and place in an ovenproof dish.
- Sprinkle the fish with the prepared prawns.
- Add the butter and flour flour to the sauce in the pan, stirring well.
- Now season well, add the chopped parsley and then the cheese.
- When well combined, pour over the fish.
- Now cover with breadcrumbs.
- Place in an oven preheated to 350 F an bake for 25 minutes, or until brown.
