Mixture Ingredients

  • 8 oz Sugar
  • 6 oz Chocolate (Chopped)
  • 5 oz Flour
  • 5 oz Butter (Softened)
  • 3 oz Walnuts (Chopped)
  • 3 oz Hazelnuts (Chopped)
  • 1/2 oz Vanilla Sugar
  • 2 Eggs (Beaten)

Topping Ingredients

  • 4 oz Nut Nougat
  • Walnuts (Chopped)

Method

  1. In a saucepan over a medium heat, combine the butter and chocolate while stirring.
  2. Add the sugar, salt, beaten eggs and vanilla sugar while stirring continuously.
  3. Sift in the flour and drop in the nuts, again stirring until mixed.
  4. Spread the smooth mixture into a greased 9“ baking tin.
  5. Place in an oven preheated to 350 F and bake for about 45 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and slice into squares.
  7. Put the nut nougat in a bowl and melt over a saucepan of hot water.
  8. Drop a spoonful of melted nougat on each chocolate brownie.
  9. Finish off with a scattering of walnuts.
