Italian Chocolate Biscotti Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 cups Flour
- 1 cup White Sugar
- 3/4 cup Chocolate (Chopped)
- 1/2 cup Almonds (Chopped)
- 1/2 cup Butter (Softened)
- 1 tbl Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 4 Eggs (Beaten)
- 3 Lemon Peels
- 2 Orange Peels
Method
- Combine the chopped chocolate pieces, chopped almons, flour, sugar, salt and baking powder in a large mixing bowl.
- While stirring, gradually fold in the vanilla extract, orange peel, lemon peel and beaten eggs.
- Scoop the mixture onto a floured board and split in half.
- Roll each half into a foot-long roll.
- Now place both rolls on a greased baking sheet.
- Place in an oven preheated to 350 F and bake for 30 minutes.
- Once baked, lift out of the oven and slice thickly.
Pop the slices back into the oven for another 10 minutes before serving.
