Seed Cake Recipe
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cups Unbleached Flour
- 1 cup Wheat Flour
- 1 cup Milk
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1/8 cup Warm Ale
- 1 tsp Seeds (Crushed)
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- 2 Eggs (Beaten)
Method
- In a large bowl, mix together the salt and flours.
- In another bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm ale and beat in the eggs and seeds.
- Mix in the flour and butter.
- Then add the milk while mixing until smooth.
- Pour into an 8“ round cake pan.
- Place in an oven preheated to 350 F and bake for about 45 minutes.
