Nougat Cake Recipe
Mixture Ingredients
- 7 oz Demerera Sugar
- 7 oz Hazelnuts (Ground)
- 6 oz Nougat (Diced)
- 5 oz Butter (Softened)
- 5 oz Wheat Flour
- 4 tbl Milk
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Lemon Zest
- 4 Egg Yolks
Topping Ingredients
- 2 oz Baking Milk Chocolate
Method
- Cool the diced nougat in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
- Take a large bowl and combine the sugar and butter until smooth and light.
- While stirring, add the milk, hazelnuts and lemon zest.
- Sieve in the flour and baking powder while mixing.
- Best the egg whites and gently fold into the mixture along with the diced nougat.
- Pour into a medium sized greased baking tin.
- Place in an oven preheated to 350 F and bake for about 60 minutes.
