Hazelnut Cake Recipe
Mixture Ingredients
- 11 oz Caster Sugar
- 11 oz Hazelnuts (Ground)
- 8 oz Nougat (Diced)
- 6 oz Butter (Softened)
- 6 oz Flour
- 3 oz Hazelnuts (Chopped)
- 6 tbl Milk
- 6 Egg Whites
- 6 Egg Yolks
Topping Ingredients
Method
- Take a large bowl and combine the sugar and butter until smooth and fluffy.
- While stirring, add the eggs yolks and salt.
- Sieve in the flour and baking powder while mixing.
- Drop in the diced nougat while mixing continuously.
- In another bowl, beat the egg whites until stiffened, then fold into the mix.
- Pour into a medium sized greased baking tin.
- Place in an oven preheated to 350 F and bake for about 60 minutes.
- Sprinkle some icing sugar over the top for a finishing touch!
