Mixture Ingredients

  • 11 oz Caster Sugar
  • 11 oz Hazelnuts (Ground)
  • 8 oz Nougat (Diced)
  • 6 oz Butter (Softened)
  • 6 oz Flour
  • 3 oz Hazelnuts (Chopped)
  • 6 tbl Milk
  • 6 Egg Whites
  • 6 Egg Yolks

Topping Ingredients

  • 2 tbl Icing Sugar

Method

  1. Take a large bowl and combine the sugar and butter until smooth and fluffy.
  2. While stirring, add the eggs yolks and salt.
  3. Sieve in the flour and baking powder while mixing.
  4. Drop in the diced nougat while mixing continuously.
  5. In another bowl, beat the egg whites until stiffened, then fold into the mix.
  6. Pour into a medium sized greased baking tin.
  7. Place in an oven preheated to 350 F and bake for about 60 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle some icing sugar over the top for a finishing touch!
