Whiskey Brack Recipe
Ingredients
- 14 oz Mixed Dried Fruit
- 12 oz Self Raising Flour
- 7 oz Soft Brown Sugar
- 2 fl oz Whiskey
- 1/2 pt Irish Tea (Chilled)
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 Egg (Beaten)
Method
- Take a mixing bowl and dissolve the sugar in the tea.
- Pour in the whiskey and fruit.
- Cover and set aside to marinade overnight.
- Sieve in the flour and salt.
- Add the beaten egg and stir well.
- Scopp into a 2 lb loaf tin.
- Bake at 325°F for 2 hours.
