Tea Loaf Recipe
Ingredients
- 9 oz Self Raising Flour
- 6 oz Sultanas
- 5 oz Caster Sugar
- 4 oz Margarine
- 1/4 pt Milk
- 1 Egg (Beaten)
Method
- Put the sugar, sultanas, margarine and milk into a saucepan.
- Bring to the boil slowly.
- Once boiled, turn off the heat and let it cool.
- Then add the beaten egg and flour while stirring.
- Spoon into a greased loaf tin.
- Sprinkle with fine sugar.
- Bake for 50 minutes at 350°F.
- Turn out onto a wire rack to cool.
