Beef Casserole With Parsley Dumplings Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 lb Lean Beef (Cubed)
- 6 oz Self-raising Flour
- 3 oz Low Fat Spread
- 1/2 pt Stock
- 1/2 pt Guinness
- 4 tbl Water
- 3 tbl Parsley (Chopped)
- 2 tbl Flour (Blended With Water)
- 1 tsp Mixed Herbs
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 Garlic Clove (Crushed)
Method
- Place the beef, onions, stock, Guinness and garlic in an ovenproof dish.
- Stir and cover the dish, then place in an oven.
- Cook at 350° for 2 hours.
- While it cooks, make the dumplings by mixing the low fat spread and flour until like breadcrumbs.
- Then stir in the parsley and season.
- Now add the water and knead. Make 6 dough balls.
- About 30 minutes before cooking time is up, add the dough balls to the casserole.
- Serve with potatoes and vegetables.
